Exercising and giving your body a good workout is a great way to battle the bulge, depression and even other health problems like diabetes. There is no one that couldn’t use some good exercise, that said a full body stretch is essential. The one thing that is constant for all of us is the fact that before we exercise we need to warm up.

Without the proper warm up exercises including a full body stretch and a knee stretch we could do more harm than good to our bodies. It is easy to pull a tendon or a muscle and that can be painful, sometimes excruciating. I’ve learned the hard way that while warming up can be boring is certainly not a step worth skipping over.

The good news is that warm up exercises are simple and easy, you can get the job done in just a few short minutes. Here are some of the best ways for your to warm up your muscles for a good workout:

First, Start with a full body stretch, rotate all of your joints. You can start with your feet. Wiggle your toes, roll your ankles, do a knee stretch, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers.

Second, Gently drop your head forward and roll it from side to side.

Third, Once you have warmed up your joints with a full body stretch, you can begin to march in place. Yep, march in place like a little drummer boy for about 5 minutes and then you are good to go. Don’t forget to swing your arms strong and proud.

Those simple and short warm up exercise can mean the difference between you being able to get out of bed the next morning and not. Avoid pain and take some time to learn warming up exercises and full body stretches.
