For a lot of us, the lipstick bottle is almost as important as the lipstick itself. If you’re looking for funky lipstick tubes that make a statement as bold as your lip color, check out these trendy styles:

B Moisture Advanced Care Lip Color has one of the funkiest bottles I’ve seen. The outer tube is black and shiny, with a wave like design that gives a cool shape to the container. The inside of the lipstick tube is reflective silver. It’s simple and sleek, but with an edge that will get noticed when you take it out of your purse for a last minute touch up. At $27, it’s a higher end lipstick, but comes with a whack of botanical ingredients and lip smoothing agents that make it worth the extra few dollars.

Bold colors make any lipstick bottle funky for a night on the town. Look for lipstick tubes in bright pink or turquoise. Gone are the days of the matte beige or dull black lipstick bottles with no decorative touches – color is making a comeback both on lips and in lipstick packaging. I love the Electric Intense Lip Cream both for it’s smooth application and barely-there feel, but I have to admit it was the vivid purple and gold case that got me to fork over the $28 dollars. It has an eighties feel to it, and the square-shaped design with gold striping on the side is very funky.

If you want to spend less on a lipstick with a unique bottle, you can’t beat the ultra funky W 7 Lip Dipper lip glosses. These little lip gloss pots come have a silver cone-shaped top, and the bottle is clear to reveal the bright red or candy pink lip gloss inside. These stylish bottles look great on a dresser or counter, and at around $2 each, you can stock up on a bunch of them for next to nothing.

Maybelline also makes a long lasting lipstick that comes in a sexy red case called Moisture Extreme. You’ll find it has a glossy finish that doesn’t look too over the top at the office or for a casual night out. It’s got a slim silver band between the red top and bottom, and with the number of colors available it’s a winner. I love how even drugstore brands are high quality these days: you can get lipstick that won’t feather, has sunscreen and moisturizers added in for a fraction of the cost of designer lipsticks.
