Watch portion sizes. Switch to smaller plates and you will be surprised at how satisfied you feel after each meal. You will naturally begin to eat smaller portions but since they are smaller plates it won’t feel like you are cutting back.
The bigger your plate the more likely you are to overeat. There have been multiple studies done on this and they’ve proved that smaller plates and bowls means better eating habits. This will help you feel good, not overstuffed and barfy.

The plates can deceive but the tastes won’t. A delicious meal, after all knows no plate size.

yeah and most probably the smaller plates are junkies, so its better to have a good food and healthy diet with low calories and fatty acids.

This reminds me of an experiment I saw where children were fed different portion sizes. Perhaps unsurprisingly, they ate everything on their place. More surprisingly, they felt completely satisfied after their meals, despite the fact that some children were being fed almost twice as much as others!

we should limit the amount of consumption of foods containing calories and fatty acids after we cross 40, since they are meaningless for any use in our body.

Jamie, I disagree – all foods have calories in, and we need this energy to survive. Yes, we should avoid too many ‘bad’ calories such as those from sugars and saturated fats, but even those play their part. As for fatty acids, many of these are essential to keep our bodies functioning properly – in fact they’re often known as ESSENTIAL fatty acids for this very reason. Avoiding them would be dangerous to our health!

It would be better if we could add Soya bean oil or Sunflower oil in our day to day life, this oils do not contain fats and they are light for heart, especially people who are suffering from cardiac problems

Yes that is a very smart trick that I’m trying to think about sometimes. It’s better to eat less and still be able to eat a lot of things.

With the trend for healthy living people are greatly concerned with their diet. Yes, healthy diet and good nutrition are essential for a healthy body but diet alone cannot give you a perfect healthy life. Proper diets with regular exercise are must for a healthy body and a sound mind. Exercise can influence a lot in attaining a healthy life. Ask a healthy person and he would promptly reply that regular exercise and rich nutrition are the key ingredients for his health life.

I always suggest to people that they start a calorically reduced diet after doing a 1-3 day juice diet. It seems to be a good way to reset your body in terms of “appropriate serving size”. Sometimes it just takes going hungry for a day to realize what slight hunger is versus serious hunger pangs…

‘Little and often’ is very good advice, as long as you’re eating a varied healthy diet.

I tried this, and have been going around the house with a smile on my face ever since.
Such a simple common sense approach.
I am eating about half of what I was and not feeling hungry between meals.
Thanks a million for this advice.

Hi really enjoyed reading your post.
Why does my middle finger go numb at the tip after eating lunch? It normally effects only my right-hand middle
