Summer skin has a tendency to get red, tight and itchy not to mention dry. All that sun and heat can take a real toll on your whole body. Your skin may be suffering because you are becoming dehydrating. [tag]Hydrating your skin[/tag] is essential, absolutely essential.

The best way to keep your [tag]summer skin[/tag] looking soft and dewy is to keep drinking lots of water. Have a water bottle filled with clean, fresh water at all times. You may want to get a steel or aluminum water bottle because there is some concern about whether hot plastic bottles leak dangerous chemicals into the water.

Another key way to keep your skin hydrated during summer is to have a spray bottle with you. That way when your feel your skin getting hot you can spray it with some clean water too cool it down and moisturize it.

Staying away from things that dehydrate you like alcohol and caffeine will also help you to keep your skin hydrated. Sweet juices that are filled with sugar also deplete your moisture levels.

So make sure you drink more than 8 glasses of water per day. When the weather cools down the standard 8 will do but while the weather is hot and we are enjoying summer you need to drink a lot more than that.

Take care of your summer skin and you will have a much younger, dewy-er look.

    Great tips!

I had forgotten about spray bottles. I guess they help too to keep you feeling refreshed.

Amazing how different your skin feels and looks if you drink lots of water.

In summer, the main problem is dehydration. So the most important thing is to drinks at least 8 glasses of water daily. Use appropriate sun block cream that is suitable for your skin. Even wear sun-appropriate apparel.Try to avoid the sun’s most intense rays by limiting exposure between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

You’re right about staying hydrated, although I didn’t think that would be a problem in Florida. Here in Las Vegas, you drink a ton of water during the summer months. I always wear sunblock with a moisturizer in it because of the dryness.
