You didn’t actually put the tester lipstick on your lips did you?

This is something that most of you already know but just in case I think it is important to remind you that when you are out in the store you should not be putting the lipstick tester on your lips. At least not from the top of the lipstick.

I go out and I see women all the time who just pick up the lipstick product and put it straight on their lips, they don’t even wipe it off or anything! Crrazy and so unhygienic!

If you feel the need to look at the lipstick color on your body then try on your fingertips. THis is a closer match to the way it will actually look on your lips. They are a bit rosier than the back of your hand or your wrist, so this is a good way to test the lipstick shade.

You could also get a q tip and roll the lipstick all the way up, then gently scrape some off near the bottom of the stick. This has most likely never been touched by another human, so it can then be put onto your lips.

Those are a couple of tips I have picked up over the years to deal with lipstick testers. I hope these ideas’ll help you choose the best lipstick products possible in the future. I still say shopping online is more fun. But who am I? Just a girl.
